Advances within the agricultural industry
Apr01Already, over 5 years have passed since we first began distributing orders on Senwes' behalf . Since then, there have been many advancements that we thought might be of interest to you. For your convenience, we've provided a brief summary:
1. Advances in ordering:
- Most of our high volume suppliers will already have experienced the benefits of receiving orders straight into their various systems, eliminating the need to recapture orders and reducing the load on their call centre personnel. Some integrated partners include Agrinet, Plascon, Partrite and Bayer.
- Lower volume suppliers now have the option of routing their emailed orders to a specific person or department based on a range of business criteria, including order value, quantity, category, customer branch and almost anything else. Some partners making use of these features are Unitrade Management Services, Saint Gobain, KSB Pumps and Barloworld Equipment.
2. Advances in invoicing:
- Many suppliers, both large and small are sending their invoices straight back to their customers electronically and experiencing the huge benefit of not having to wait for 30-60 days to have responses to these invoices. The higher-volume suppliers are sending these invoices directly to their customers using our machine-to-machine facilities, while the lower-volume suppliers are logging onto our invoice capturing facilities and capturing the invoices almost directly into their customer's systems. Our focus here is on reducing the payment cycle. Some companies already enjoying the use of this technology are Afrox, Bayer, Macsteel, Intervet, Denorco, Pannar and Plascon.
3. Advances for agricultural buying groups and farmers:
Too often, electronic commerce solutions are international (thus expensive) and impersonal. Though, we do feel that it's important that agricultural buying groups service the round-the-clock needs of their farmers, it's also just as important to maintain the relationships with these farmers.
For this reason, we're excited to announce a new store-front solution for the agricultural buying groups, that allows what we believe to be the best of both of these worlds. This solution includes 24-7 ordering, stock level queries, buying history, network growth by connecting customers with suppliers, invoice distribution, 2-way matching and is also environmentally-friendly.
As you can see, there's a lot going on, but still much we hope to achieve. We're working hard to ensure that your service levels are a cut above those of your competitors.
