The 1,531,915 figure is every trade document that moved across the network in September. Of those, our AI platform processed 45,299 pages, and more than 85% went straight through with no manual handling.
When we analysed transaction data from Southern African mines and factories on the M2North network, one pattern stood out: every business runs two distinct supplier economies — two completely different groups of vendors that need to be managed differently.
A small group of core suppliers, such as heavy machinery and fuel, where almost all of your spend goes.
Hundreds of smaller, everyday suppliers of parts, safety gear and consumables. They take very little of the budget, but create almost all of the daily paperwork and order management.
Companies in these sectors often depend on a relatively small group of suppliers for much of their procurement spend. Yet hundreds of smaller suppliers still generate substantial administrative work through contract and compliance management, purchase orders, invoices, delivery documentation and payment queries.
The challenge is not simply managing supplier spend. It is managing the transactions and documentation behind every supplier relationship, whatever its size.
A question worth asking: how much of your procurement team's time is spent processing transactions from suppliers who represent only a small percentage of your total spend?
When there are any issues, we receive proper, timeous feedback and the whole team is extremely helpful. Everyone is eager to assist and resolve queries.

Industrial manufacturer
Technology matters, but real trust is built between people. Meet James and Gail — two team members focused on helping businesses remove friction and work better together across the mining and industrial sectors.
Rather than leading with technology or a sales pitch, I focus on understanding how a business works, the people behind it and the challenges that matter most. I believe technology works best when it strengthens relationships, improves how businesses work together and solves real operational problems. At M2North, we build industry trust one conversation at a time.
Johannesburg · Southern African mining & mining supply
I've always believed that a meaningful business relationship begins with genuine curiosity. Before approaching a company, I want to understand who they are, what they do and what matters to them. Sometimes one thoughtful question can open a conversation that leads to something valuable for both businesses. For me, that's what building trust is all about.
